  According to Art. 7, para. 5 of the Currency Law “Any transaction in connection with the initial making of direct investments abroad by local legal entities or sole traders, as well as for the provision of financial credits between local legal entities or sole traders and foreign persons, opening accounts abroad, issuing by local legal entities of securities abroad and/or purchase of securities without the mediation of a local person – an investment intermediary, is subject to declaration to the BNB for the needs of the balance of payments statistics within 15 days after its conclusion”.
