A total of 446 individual consultations on cases related to the assessment of pension rights of persons with experience in Bulgaria and Germany were provided during the next round of the Bulgarian-German consultation days on pension issues, hosted by the territorial division of the National Social Security Institute (NSI) in Burgas.
Within three days, four teams of experts from both countries provided individual consultations on specific cases related to the assessment of pension rights of persons living in Bulgaria who have insurance periods acquired according to the legislation of both countries. Interested persons had the opportunity to consult on issues related to the conditions for acquiring the right to pensions, recalculation and payment of pensions according to the rules for the coordination of social security schemes contained in the European regulations, as well as on the expected amount of their future pension.
The Bulgarian-German Consultation Days have been held since 2008 in various cities in Bulgaria and Germany. They are organized by the National Social Insurance Institute, the Federation of German Pension Insurance and the German Pension Insurance Central Germany.
The meetings with pension insurance experts are free of charge and are available to interested parties in Bulgarian or German upon request. Pension consultation days are planned to be held in Pleven and Nuremberg in 2026.
