From September 16 to 18, 2025, the territorial branch of the National Social Security Institute (NSI) in Burgas will host the next round of the Bulgarian-German consultation days on pension issues. The event, which has become a tradition, is jointly organized by the NSI, the Federation of German Pension Insurance and the German Pension Insurance Central Germany.

During the consultation days, four teams of experts from both countries will provide individual consultations on specific cases related to the assessment of pension rights of persons living in Bulgaria who have insurance periods acquired under the legislation of both Bulgaria and Germany.

Interested persons will have the opportunity to consult on issues related to the conditions for acquiring the right to pensions, recalculation and payment of pensions according to the rules for the coordination of social security schemes contained in the European regulations, as well as on the expected amount of their future pension.

The consultations will be held according to pre-arranged schedules in the building of the territorial division of the NSSI in Burgas at 126 Stefan Stambolov Blvd. The experts’ reception hours for all three days are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend can make an appointment by calling 02/926 16 80 and 0882 187 680 or by e-mail: ConsultDay@nssi.bg.

For greater efficiency of the consultations, it is recommended that everyone who signs up brings with them their documents for work/insurance experience, all diplomas for education and courses, as well as an identity document. For the recognition of maternity insurance experience, women could also present a birth certificate of a child/children. The consultations are free of charge and are provided to interested parties upon request in Bulgarian or German.
